Report Western
Toad Sightings
Whidbey Island is home to many special native species populations, including the threatened western toad, a key indicator of ecosystem health.
Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife designates Western Toads as Priority Species, and in 2020 the Washington State Court of Appeals ruled in WEAN's favor to uphold protections of upland toad habitat in Island County.
We encourage our community to keep an eye out for these warty friends and report sightings to WEAN.

Report Environmental Violations
Maybe you are walking, biking, or driving along a road in your community and see something happening that impacts the environment on private or public property — or maybe you walk out your backdoor and see a literal bulldozer in your backyard.
We want you to report any potential environmental violations that you encounter in the community to WEAN and take action to document and report the activity to the appropriate jurisdiction.
Please fill out our reporting form below and see our Activity Reporting guide for more tips and resources.
